Support our Mission

Empowering Communities with a "TOUCH OF GRĀS"

Our mission is to provide affordable housing for veterans, at-risk and homeless individuals, homeless veterans, foster youth (18 or older), low-income men and women, and ex-offenders. Our clients encounter obstacles in securing housing and employment, and they often face issues with recidivism. Leaving prison, particularly for young ex-offenders and felons, can be extremely challenging. Reentry training programs play a crucial role in providing support for those transitioning from prison life. These programs have demonstrated effectiveness in reducing recidivism rates for ex-offenders of all backgrounds. Many individuals released from prison struggle to find employment, suitable housing, or obtain identification, which can exacerbate their difficulties and increase the likelihood of reoffending. Our program aims to address these challenges by offering training and support to help individuals integrate into the workforce and become productive members of society.

Individuals, including unhoused men, women, clients, and ex-offenders, may approach us with a range of needs, including but not limited to:

  • Assistance with addiction issues
  • Support for mental health challenges, including Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)
  • Help in securing employment and access to job training
  • Assistance with obtaining Social Security and disability benefits
  • Support for family reconciliation
  • Education support through programs like WIT- Employability Training Program
  • Assistance in finding permanent housing

Upon admission to transitional housing, we address the immediate needs of each client and customize a program to align with their specific objectives and goals. Immediate needs may encompass:

  • Clothing
  • Toiletries
  • Food
  • Counseling
  • Scheduling appointments with healthcare providers
  • Establishing peer support groups within the residence

Our programs remain adaptable to meet evolving needs and achieve desired outcomes as they are identified. There is no one-size-fits-all or standardized approach to addressing the diverse needs of our clients. Each person will have unique requirements and aspirations that guide our support and interventions.
